Sennheiser PC 360 Headset for Pro Gaming Compared To The Sennheiser PC 350

The Sennheiser PC 360 Headset For Pro Gaming is without a doubt one of the leading gaming headsets on the market (if not the leader), but how does it compare to its older brother The Sennheiser PC 350 Collapsible Gaming Headset with Vol Control & Microphone Mute.

Both the Sennheiser PC 360 and PC 350 are professional gaming headsets that are well known and adored by serious and professional gamers alike. Both of these gaming headsets have won various awards and are made by the same highly reputable company. So how does a non professional competitive gamer like myself know which headset is right for me.

Sennheiser PC 350 Vs 360 Sound quality, comfort..whats Better

What Headset Do Pro Gamers Use!

First off, these are expensive gaming headsets that professional and competitive gamers actually use during intense LAN environments. So we know that they are of the best quality when it comes to gaming headsets.

If the price of these 2 headsets is a bit off putting for you, fear not. I have compiled a page dedicated to the best gaming headsets for under $50 and $100. The headset's found there are of superior quality for the price and you wont be disappointed.

So their are two obvious differences between the Sennheiser PC 360 and the PC 350. The first is price. As it stands today June 2012 the difference is about $60, The Sennheiser PC 360 Headset For Pro Gaming being the latest and more expensive gaming headset. Which retails at $249.95 on the Sennheiser website. Somewhat cheaper on Amazon at $203.80. Whether you buy from either site, you still get the Sennheiser 2 year international warranty.

The second difference is the acoustics design. The Sennheiser PC 360 is a open design acoustics whilst the PC 350 is a closed design. For most people this will be the determining factor into which gaming headset to buy.

So basically the open design PC 360 lets air into the ear cups to create a natural listening experience whilst keeping your ears cool. whereas the PC 350 is a closed design and is meant to keep it all inside.

With a closed design the sound will get trapped inside the ear cups and wont be so loud for anybody around you. The closed design will block out the noises around you to let you focus only on your gaming. Which is handy for gaming in a crowded situation.

For the open design as it lets air in it also lets surrounding noises in also. Depending on sound volume of course. Having said this the open design can get quite loud for other people around you. The advantage of a open design is that you can still listen to other people with the headset on mid level volume whilst playing games. Also if you generally don't have to worry too much about noise around you then it wont matter if its a open or closed design acoustics.

The Sennheiser PC 360 is compatible with any PC, be it laptop or desk top. In order for this headset to be compatible with the PS3 and Xbox 360 you will need to invest in the ASTRO Gaming USB MixAmp. As I stated earlier, the Sennheiser PC 360 gaming headset is an open acoustic design. If you usually game in a quite peaceful area then this is the headset for you. With the open design expect to stay cool for hours and hours. The design of this gaming headset is rather smart. The style just oozes pro gamer and the headset is so light and extremely flexible. Adjusting the volume is as simple as touching your XXL right ear cup that's integrated with volume control. The volume control is a impressing feature that I'm sure will one day be the standard. To mute simply raise the boom.   Like all good headsets, the Sennheiser PC 360 is pure comfort. Like a new pair of shoes, it requires a bit of warming up, but from then on its ultimate comfort for your ears with its velvet ear pads and cushioned head band. The ear cups fit perfectly over your ears and don't squeeze like some headsets do. The head band is adjustable to any size head with room for glasses. The high performance noise cancelling microphone works rather well. Blocks out unwanted noises and you don't have to yell into it for people to hear you!. A sturdy design and is moveable to user preference. When the mic is not needed, just simply move it out of the way.   Sennheiser has a name for itself with producing the best sound quality for gaming headsets. The PC 360's sound performance isn't any different. Not the biggest bass headset, but that is fine as it represents a natural sound. What you would expect something to sound like. Not over the top. You feel like you have total control over game play with the PC 360. Part of the game even. Pinpointing the direction of certain sounds can prove a game winner. With the ability to hear your enemy reload and know which direction it came from is outstanding. Ensure you have a good sound card to really unleash the beast that is the Sennheiser PC 360 Headset for Pro Gaming. More Sennheiser PC 360 Headset for Pro Gaming Specs.

Do you demand the highest performance from your gaming headset?. Having a high performance headset can mean the difference between winning and loosing. Just a fraction of a frame can determine your destiny. Take the advantage of that split second by precisely detecting where your enemy is before you even see them. That is the power of the Sennheiser PC 350. It delivers precise sound perception that truly makes you feel like your in the game. Which is what we want right. We want to be totally submerged in the game so much that the outside world feels like it doesn't even exist. This is totally possible thanks to the closed acoustic design circumaural (completely covers your ears) PC 350 gaming headset. Many gaming professionals prefer this headset because of its closed acoustic design. The closed design allows for total concentration because it blocks out all background noises and distractions. Allowing you to immerse fully into the challenge ahead of you. Which is why it is a popular choice amongst gamers that play in LAN environments. Sennheiser have set the bar for the best quality sounding headsets going. The Sennheiser PC 350 Collapsible Gaming Headset with Vol Control & Microphone Mute is no exception. Although this headset isnt a 5.1 headset it still delivers premium HI FI stereo sound. The bass isn't over the top which is good, because it allows you to hear sounds as if they were really happening. Therefore generating less crackling and distortion in the headset. The sound that comes from the Sennheiser PC 350 is really crisp and clear, especially the highs and the mids. As this headset is a closed ear design, some would say to expect sweating and discomfort due to noe air being let in. But surprisingly they are not like this at all. Unlike some other leather headsets, this headset has a nice velvet padding which doesn't stick to you or make you feel any extra heat. The PC 350 headset is an actual circumaural headset. The ear cups surround your ears completely with touching your ears. Therefore creating ultimate comfort. The noise cancelling mic produces crystal clear communication between your team (so I'm told), which is crucial for a team to dominate. Communication goes along way. The boom for the headset is adjustable to suit the users preference. There's a conveniently located volume and mute switch built into the cable. The PC 350 is really sturdy when collapsing it to put it away for safe storage. It wont collapse on you with out your support. Like all good things, the better you take care of them the longer they will last. Overall I think this headset is extremely hard to beat for value, if not impossible. even more so now that the price has been dropped by nearly $100. If your an avid gamer then you will not be disappointed by the Sennheiser PC 350 Collapsible Gaming Headset with Vol Control & Microphone Mute.
